Points Rewards Program’s New Powerhouse

CreditCards

American Express had long been heralded as the strongest credit card travel rewards program but recently Chase has been very aggressive in enticing consumers. From offering strong sign-up bonuses for various consumer and business cards to adding many partner programs to transfer points to, it’s no wonder why many people have multiple accounts.

On to the fun stuff, here is a list of Chase UR partner programs that you can transfer points to:
Airlines: British Airways (OneWorld), Korean (Skyteam), Singapore (Star Alliance), Southwest, United (Star Alliance) and Virgin Atlantic
Hotels: Hyatt, Marriott, Priority Club, and Ritz Carlton
Trains: Amtrak

British Airways (Avios)
This program is unbeatable for short hauls in the US. It’s only 4500 points + $2 for non-stop sub-650 mile legs. This was a flight I booked recently (Roundtrip from Baltimore to Chicago for 2)
BA Reward FlightTo put things in perspective, just the sign up bonus opportunities alone for the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card will yield 45,000 points. That’s nine flights for a total of $18 out of pocket. Points from UR transfer instantly and they’re good for 18 months before expiring. (But I suggest you not transfer points until you’re ready to book)
